May 31, 1943 - July 24, 2025
Delores J. Wray, 82, of Grand Island, formerly of North Loup, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025 at Grand Island Regional Medical Center. Services will be held on July 30, 11 a.m. at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in North Loup.
Delores was born on May 31, 1943 in Ord, Neb. to Ralph and Bessie (Fryzek) Burson. She was raised and received her education in Valley County.
On August 9, 1969, Delores was united in marriage to John Wray.
She enjoyed going to her kids events & was always their biggest fan. Her love for her animals (along with the several strays she adopted) amplified her big heart. A lifelong Husker fan, walking into her house on a Saturday in the fall sounded like you were @ Memorial Stadium. Attending bible study with her friends was also something she really enjoyed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John of Grand Island; children, Dan Kluna of Cairo, Tim (Katrina) Kluna of Grand Island, Jeff (Laura Ballard) Wray of Giltner; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Galen Wray and Corey Wray; brother, Harry Burson; and sister, Betty Hampton.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
