William "Bill" Schuster
December 24, 1931 - June 14, 2025
William Schuster, age 93, passed away peacefully at home with family on June 14th. He was born in Des Moines, lowa on December 24, 1931. He graduated from Dowling High School in Des Moines, served 4 years in the US Air Force, received a BS Degree from Drake University, and MA Degree in Counseling from San Jose State University. During his career, he was Coach, Teacher, and for 32+ years a Student Counselor in Santa Clara United School District in Santa Clara, CA. He enjoyed all things sports, as player, as coach, and as spectator. He enjoyed following his children and grandchildren in all their endeavors, enjoyed many fun times at the Schuster Cabin in Tahoe with family and friends, traveling, and in later years, playing golf with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl, three sons, Jim (Terri), Steve, Mark (Nancy), daughter Sue, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and sister Margaret.
There will be a memorial service on July 12 at 11:00 AM at Star of the Valley Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, CA. In Memory of Bill donations may be made to Catholic Charities, Santa Rosa, or Hospice By The Bay Health.
