Perry Campbell Obituary

Perry was a longtime member of LoSalem Missionary Baptist Church under his grandfather Rev. H.V. Savage Sr. and later his uncle Pastor Lewis Savage where he held numerous roles. This past year he joined Ministry Made Simple under his brother, Kenneth Campbell Sr. where he was slated to be an usher due to his infectious personality.
Perry attended Toledo Public Schools ultimately graduating from Jesup W. Scott High School and later attended Central State University. He decided after a year to seek employment where he worked for Mercy Hospital for over 21 years. After the merge of Mercy and St. Vincent's Hospitals, he sought employment at ProMedica Wildwood Athletic Club where he worked for 10 years until he began to experience health concerns.
Perry had a unique ability to see others past their shortcomings. He loved to laugh and joke. He knew how to be a person's biggest fan while he may have needed your encouragement the most. You never would know when or if he was down. He always presented with a smile. Perry knew the true meaning of love, he showed no boundaries. This gift allowed him to touch many lives.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Robert Sr. & Irene (Savage) Campbell. Three siblings: Anita, Robert Jr. and Debra Campbell.
He is proudly survived by his children: ShaDonna (Rick) Hadley, Ve'Shuan (Amanda) and Johnny Campbell. Siblings: Charles Sr., Kenneth Sr. (Pauline) and Elizabeth Harris-Campbell. God-brothers: Ray Fisher and Dr. James Zimmerman Jr. D.D.S. He lived for his 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Best friend: Fran Campbell. Caregiver: Cozetta Allen. Special niece: Irene Punkin Campbell. Special cousin: Arnisha Herron and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family & friends.
