Calvin A. Malcolm, age 76, of Burlington passed away at 9:42 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, at Addington Place in Burlington.
He was born July 8, 1948, in Burlington, the son of Bernard and Mabel Holeman Malcolm. He married Laura Hackney in 1972. They later divorced.
Calvin served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as a business office manager for Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, Missouri, and later at Burlington Medical Center, retiring in 2005. His hobbies included bowling and golfing.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy (Armando) Luna of Morning Sun and Renae (Cole) Huebner of Denmark, Iowa; two sons, Sean (Allison) Malcolm of Wever, Jerad Malcolm of Denmark, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Christian, Kyle, Ryan, Carlina, Austin, Caleb, Dia, and Bode; and three brothers, Jerry (Barbara) Malcolm and Phillip (Jane) Malcolm, both of rural Carman, Illinois, and Roger (Mary Ann) Malcolm of Kewanee, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service with military honors will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday Aug. 23, in the Stronghurst, Illinois, Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for the Stronghurst American Legion.
