Thomas Hurley Obituary

We sadly announce the death of our father, Thomas James Hurley. Born to James and Mary Meeds Hurley in Portland, Ore., on Dec. 4, 1937, he died in Thousand Oaks, Calif., on Jan. 12, 2022.
A proud son of the City of Roses, Tom attended All Saints grade school, Central Catholic High School, the University of Oregon and Portland State. His successful insurance career led the family to live in San Leandro, Fresno, Phoenix and Los Angeles. A wonderful provider for his family, he ended his long career at Pasadena, Calif.-based Bolton Insurance Agency as a senior executive. In retirement, the family lived in Tehachapi, Morro Bay and Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Tom married his lifetime love, Mary Frances Nims, in 1959, until her passing in 2014. He is survived by his sister, Maureen (Mimi) Hurley Taylor, of Portland, children James (Lisa), Jerry and Grace, and beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
If you care to honor Tom, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. You are also welcome to lift a glass with his favorite toast: "Till that time!"

We both knew Tom from our time at All Saints (Class of "53). Though "much older" than us, we always had good memories of Tom and others from his class. Sorry to hear of his passing and we'll remember him in our prayers.
