Peter Drown Obituary

Peter Drown
Peter "Pete" Drown, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes in Manchester, CT, on September 15, 2023, just days shy of his 63rd birthday.
Born on September 20, 1960, in Manchester, CT, to Betty and Lester Drown, Pete was the heart of a large, loving family that included many siblings. He was a doting father to his two daughters, Amanda and Elizabeth Drown, who were his pride and joy. His family will remember him as a steadfast and caring presence, always ready with a helping hand or a word of encouragement.
Pete was a man of great dedication and resilience. He completed his GED with determination and went on to have a successful career at Poulin, where he served with commitment for 25 years before retiring. His colleagues respected him for his hard work, dependability, and his infectious sense of humor.
Outside of work, Pete was known for his love of motorcycles, animals, and fishing. He had a particular fondness for German Shepherds and could often be found in the company of his faithful canine companions. His passion for grilling was well-known, and he was the king of the grill at any event, always ready to feed the masses with his culinary skills. His laughter, engaging stories, and the delicious aroma of his barbeque will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Pete lived his life to the fullest. He was a friend to everyone he met, and his kindness and generosity touched the lives of many. He found joy in the simplest things in life and taught those around him to do the same. His zest for life was hard to ignore, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Pete's passing leaves a void that will be hard to fill. However, his legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, generosity, and an unwavering spirit.
May Peter Drown rest in peace, knowing that his memory will be cherished and his life celebrated by all who loved him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on, reminding us to appreciate the simple pleasures of life, to love unconditionally, and to always lend a helping hand.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30th from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. with a service held at 3:30 p.m. at Manchester Funeral Home, located at 142 East Center Street, Manchester, CT.
