Barbara Phelps Obituary

BARBARA ANN PHELPS, 83, of South Point, OH, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, KY, surrounded by her family. She was born March 7, 1941, in South Point, OH, daughter of the late Russell and Goldie Bowen Childers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Keith Phelps; and nine brothers and sisters. Barbara is survived by her three children; one sister-in-law; seven grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many children she helped raise through her daycare. Barbara was the kindest, sweetest, most loving person. She was motherly to everyone she met. She was very strong in her faith and loved the Lord with all her heart. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2025 at Wallace Family Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Barry Kelley officiating. Burial will follow at Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock, WV. Family and friends are welcome to visit 12 to 1 p.m., prior to the service at Wallace Family Funeral Home, a time for shared memories and support.
