Glen Clayton Scott

In Loving Memory

Midvale, UT—Glen Clayton Scott, "Great Scott," 82, passed away on April 16, 2022 from colon cancer in Midvale, Utah. His final days were spent supported by family and friends.

Glen was born on September 10, 1939 to Samuel and Alice Scott in Saskatchewan, Canada. He graduated from Fort Benton High School, Montana in 1958.

On June 4, 1976 Glen married Suzanne Baldwin in the Salt Lake Temple, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Glen and Suzanne went on to have six children.

Throughout his life, Glen worked in the construction industry with many different titles and experience, one being General Contractor. He passed his endless talent and experience on to his children who would often help him at the job site.

Glen could talk to anyone. He enjoyed joking with people of all ages. Glen could always be counted on for a funny story or one of his famous Dad jokes.

He is survived by his children, Tanner (Andrea) Scott, Taylor (Cami) Scott, Kyli (Alan) Tubbs, Travis Scott, Kari Scott Jensen, and Kimberli Scott; by his 18 grandchildren; and by his sister, Sis Mensies;

Glen has donated his body to the University of Utah for science. Memorial services are pending, and will be held within the coming months. Glen was our Home Teacher for many years. We really enjoyed his visits. He was always upbeat and left us laughing. We missed him when he moved away.

My warmest condolences to your family. This is one of those times when words can't express the sadness and joy that I feel now, with the passing of your father. Glen and I would go to dances together and in fact it was your Dad and I at a dance in Provo where I meet my wife Tereza. We hung out to gather often. I got a kick out of your Dad, he really could move on the dance floor. He loved to dance and was out there all night. Never was without a partner. His true love was your mother and he would remind me of that often. I am going to share a photo of one of our nights out at a dance, between dances and the three of us in Springville. We loved your father and we will but miss him for a short time.
