Johanna (Miep):
Of Feilding. Passed away peacefully at Brightwater Centre, on Sunday, 15th April 2018, aged 87 years. Loved wife of the late Chris. Loved Mum of Mike and Liz (Christchurch), Peter and Teresa (Tauranga), and Chris and Lee. Adored Grandma of Steven (dec), Nick and Tania, Josh and Kim, Renee; Jessica, Kate, Ben; Chelsea, Sarah and David, and Karl. Treasured Great-grandma of Sofia. We remember fondly, Miep and Chris and their children when they would visit us on the farm at Waituna West. We first met Miep in 1959 when we took part in a Musical, "Sweethearts", in Feilding. Miep was sure that we were right for each other and was instrumental in match-making. We thank her for her wisdom, having now been married for 57 years. Rest in Peace, dear Miep & Chris. Our deepest sympathy to all the family.

Miep and Chris were close friends to my parents for more than 50 years. Chris was my father's scout master back in Holland. We are saddened to hear of Miep's passing and we will remember with fondness visits to Miep and Chris in Fielding and their visits to us in Mt Maunganui. Kindest regards Louis and Carla Heynen and daughters.
