Dear Judith and Family
I am deeply sorry and sad to hear Wayne passed away. I had just talked with Wayne on 15 Sep. before he was released from hospital. Wayne is my mentor and a great friend. We traveled to China together twice, and lots of contacts while Wayne was the President of IPU and after retirement. Wayne had always be a kind, caring, supportive and encouraging gentleman. I miss him and I will miss forever!

Dear Judith
Thinking of you at this time. We have so many great memories of Wayne and our fun times together in AFS Manawatu. I remembered some of his wise words as he prepared us to go away to the USA on our exchange. "Dont fall asleep when your host family takes you somewhere and buy them an ice cream to thank them for the day out". Always with a smile. Liza, Gordon and Ruth Koberstein

Anne and I are most sorry to learn of Wayne's passing. Our deepest sympathy and love to Judith and family. We are sorry that we are unable to attend his funeral.
Wayne was highly respected as a teacher, researcher and administrator at Massey University where he was a colleague for many years. In more recent times, I had the pleasure of his company at a monthly lunch at the Manawatu Golf Club. He always had an interesting story to tell. Always courteous, a true gentleman with a lovely sense of humour. Wayne was a good friend.

Our deepest sympathy to Judith and family at this sad time. Wayne's sincere and heartfelt Eulogy spoken at our Uncle Herb's funeral was the epitome of a true and loving gentleman, not afraid to reveal his emotions,
yet strong and supportive to so many.
Fondly remembered,
Betty and Barry Harvey.

To Judith, Shelley, Scott and Gabriella. My deepest sympathies for your loss. Wayne was such an awesome boss and I so enjoyed working with him at IPC. He cared so much about the staff and students and always tried to do the best for everyone despite many obstacles. He was a true gentleman and achieved so much in his busy life. Rest In Peace my dear friend, I have many fond memories of our conversations in your office and lots of laughs as well at some of the unrealistic requests you had to deal with. I will always remember you fondly and your very good advice and for that I will always be grateful.
