Vivienne WIMMS Obituary

A lovely lady taken too soon. I have fond memories of Viv and her wonderful sense of humour. It was a pleasure to have known her. My thoughts are with you all.

Dear Pete and Family, we are so saddened by your loss but share so many fond and happy memories of Viv and yourself when you visited us in the UK. The best one was the great Viv Guinness kidnap which shall never be forgotten whilst we all calmly had another drink. She was found safely with Bruce giggling like a school girl.

Through our remembrance and laughter of those loved ones no longer, lightness will shine and with time we hope you all become stronger.

We owe Mrs Wimms so much as a fabulous teacher. She taught my children Jess and Rebecca at Kairanga School. She was so patient with both of them, got them loving reading and singing. I still remember the songs we sang!

We were fortunate to have met Viv and Pete during a Medditarenean Cruise many moons ago.
We could not have wished for better Friends and travelling companions. They came to visit us in Vancouver and we visited them in New Zealand. A long lasting Friendship which created lasting memories developed, which now serve well to overcome the Grief of having lost Vivian so soon. Her Spirit and Joy of Life will resonate with us forever. Our Hearts go out to Peter in this difficult time and we hope he can find strenght and Solace in these memories of a Life well lived. We are consoled by the fact that we know he and Viv have a very supportive Family to help him share the Burden.
Shine on Viv, we will be raising a Glass to you, sorry our dream of "meeting half way" in Hawaii next year was cut short by your passing....so for now , until we meet again , ALOHA !
