When I was young,
You were there
You picked me up,
You showed your care
To me you were a foster mum
Along with your daughters and your son

Without the love you had for me
Who knows where my life would be
The bitterness
the hurt
you took away
Your caring and love showed every day

I wasn't ready for you to leave
But that horrible illness left us to grieve
Every time I see a butterfly
a flower
or a lovely place
I will think of you, your smile, your face

My darling, precious Aunty flower
You will always have a place in my heart
