Victor GARDINER Obituary

With heavy hearts, we remember the life of a truly remarkable man. Vic passed away peacefully after his courageous battle with cancer. Many thanks for the amazing support from the staff of Arohanui Hospice and Palmerston North Hospital Ward 23. A beloved husband, cherished father and devoted Poppa, Vic shared 50 wonderful years with his loving wife Rose. He was a proud father and father-in-law to Adam and Kariene, Daniel and Shirley-Anne, Letitia and Rob. A guiding light in the lives of his seven adored grandchildren: Jasmine, Royston and partner Chloe, Charlie, Lewis, Jayden, Blake, and Nakita. Messages for Vic's family can be left via robertjcotton.co.nz/funerals-tributes. An avid gardener and former nurse, Vic's strong faith in God, no-nonsense attitude, and unwavering love shaped a family that will carry his legacy forward. In accordance with Vic's wishes, a private family farewell has been held. His memory will live on in the stories we share, the values he passed on, and the love he gave so freely. In lieu of flowers, donations to Arohanui Hospice via arohanuihospice.org.nz would be gratefully appreciated.

"If I had a flower for every time I think of you... I could walk forever in my garden." - Claudia Adrienne Grandi

I have many great memories of Vic as a nurse. He was conscientious and we spent many hours discussing his PDRP portfolio. My sympathy to you Rose. RIP Vic.
