Vern LUMLEY Obituary

Awesome Father-in-law to Shane and Poppa to Tom and Matt. Vern and Lesley (late wife) were loving, supportive and incredible grandparents. They gave us their most precious gift – time, in building projects, driving lessons, advice, or caring for the sick. They have always been there for us. We miss them dearly and will never forget them. Shane, Tom and Matthew Wood

My condolences to the Lumley family on the passing of Vern, a very nice, sincere and remarkable man. He was my manager at Briscoe - Mills in the late 1950s, where I was a smart know-it-all teenager. He took me under his wing, gave me advice on growing up - respect for others, better living and making a future for myself.

Vern was the big brother I never had and I have not forgotten him.

Vern was a lovely, caring & fun gentleman. He will be missed by his PNRSA friends and Cossie Club mates. He is now with his Lesley whom he loved.
