To the Hunt family please accept our sympathy for the loss a very special lady who has contributed to the district and region by ensuring the local history has been captured in her writings. It is a permeant legacy that will be enjoyed by others for generations to come. Mrs. Hunt's book Campbelltown - Rongotea is a constant companion beside my chair and to which I refer to constantly for information.

My deepest condolences to the Hunt family. I had the privilege of reading Vera´s Manawatu Community Honour citation at last years ceremony. Vera spent her lifetime helping and encouraging others, a true gem. She will be missed by you all greatly. Take care.

So sorry to hear the passing of Vera. She was a kind thoughtful person and her recent award was well deserved. She always thought of others and took time out to ensure family was comfortable. Her talent in book writing will be treasured years of research then writing books like Rangitikei Pony club, Erewhon, Otairie Station and more
