We knew George & Val in Pahiatua and renewed our friendship when we retired to Waihi Beach. Val was a most gracious lady and a loyal true friend to all who knew her. Our love to Vanessa, Jason and families at this sad time.

I have many happy memories over many years of staying on the Soldiers Road farm in Pahiatua. Val was so good to me as I was only 7 years old when first came to stay.

I have so many happy memories of Val and George from when I lived in Pahiatua and they farmed at Balance. Jason and Vanessa were similar ages to my children. Val and I maintained contact over the 50 years since I moved away and they moved on to Waihi and then Tauranga.
