Dear Denise and all the Murphy Whanau.
We were sadden to learn of Tony's death just now though I guess it wasn't unexpected. I spoke with Tony from time to time in our work capacity and later post his retirement and I always said to him how inspirational he was in coping with his circumstances. His faith was very strong as was his love of family. I valued working with Tony. We started in similar roles with our respective Dioceses at around the same time. Me in Christchurch and Tony in PN. He was a quiet leader with good experience wisdom and faith. I will miss our conversations as short as they were. They were meaningful and valued by me. Thank you Tony.

Our sincere prayer and sympathy as belated as it is.

Love Paddy and Olive Beban

Dear Denise,
We were very sad to hear of Tony's death, and although we were unable to travel today to the requiem mass for Tony, we saw some of it live streamed. It was a fitting tribute to a fine man whose attributes saw him give so much to so many over the years. This was particularly so in his work with the PN Dio.
All those whose lives he touched will miss him hugely.
Our condolences to you at this difficult time. We are sure you will be deriving much comfort from your loving family.

Kind regards,
Charles & Colleen Andrews

RIL Tony ❤❤ Love you always some memories I had is . Denise and Tony were like my parents away from home, before I met them I had nothing and Denise offered me a job and help they helped me get back on my feet, times I used to go to work just a tad bit hungover and they would tell me off. well more like Denise but Tony always had to add his sarcastic remarks Not gonna lie his remarks were quite good I had no come backs for them Lol Even my friends were calling them my parents lol I remember when Tony had something to do with the Manawatu Turbos and I would boast to my friends and say Tony was the CEO for the Turbos my friends were amazed. Lol I felt blessed to have both Tony and Denise in my life. Tony you are the true definition of what an amazing father/husband/grandfather should be. May you Rest In Peace knowing that you have lived your life and raise your beautiful children to become the people they are now.. because of the love and the happy home you and Denise built for them. And you are no longer in pain. Love, prayers and thoughts go out to Denise and the family ❤❤❤
