So very sad to hear this news. I always enjoyed stopping in on my way past for work and seeing that shed door open, always working on a tractor or repairing the farm equipment. The jug was always on and I enjoyed listening to all your stories from the past, taking in your fantastic view on a nice sunny day. Rest easy mate. Aaron

I first met Tim in 1966 when my Mum & Dad emigrated to New Zealand on the Northern Star. Tim would get me to pull his thumb, and then show me the stump on the other hand and exclaim, "You've pulled it off, Leslie!" I was only five.
Once we settled in Christchurch, there was always great excitement if Tim and his mate arrived unexpectedly at the door. "Big Tim's here! Big Tim's here!" I would yell at the top of my voice.
In 2016 we went to Wellington to celebrate fifty years in New Zealand with Tim and Margaret. We had a wonderful time and we had hoped to do the same in 2026. Sending you much love Margaret, and to all your family. Tim will be sadly missed, very much so.

It was with great saddness that i learned of Tims passing . He was a guy i had huge respect for . He was always interested in what you were up too and giving advice. Going up to the farm was always made better with visits from the Youngs . Tim always encouraged us boys to get out hunting or whatever , always something to do . Tim and Margaret always made me welcome and it was a highlight going to stay with Tom and Matt . RIP Tim we will miss you

Dear Margaret, Tom & Matt and your families, so sorry for your loss. Tim was such a lovely man and I have very fond memories of the laughter and card nights played with Grandma & Grandad and Mum & Dad at Christmas time and the warm welcome Tim would always give us when we visited Ohinghati. He was an exceptional friend of our extended family and he will be greatly missed. Thinking of you all xx

So sad to hear of Tim´s passing. He was a great friend to many, a creative thinker and so many of us benefitted from his engineering skills over so many years. Our love to all the family and especially you Margaret. He will be greatly missed.
