Thomas Joseph (Tom):
Peacefully at Ranfurly Rest Home, Feilding on Thursday, 14 April 2016 aged 83 years. Dearly loved husband of Kathy and much loved father and father-in-law of Wayne and Trish, Lynley, Stuart and Dianne, Glenn, Bryce and Caitherine, David, Gareth and Weda, Debbie and Richard, Helen and Lance, Kiri, Stacey and Mel, and Carey and Emma. Loved Grandfather, Poppa, Koko of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
" Kua hinga te totara I te wao nui a Tane. The mighty Totara has fallen in the Forrest of Tane."
All messages Tasker family, C/- P.O. Box 341, Wanganui. Friends are invited to a service to celebrate Tom's life at the Eulogy Lounge, Wanganui Racecourse, Purnell St, Wanganui on Monday, 18 April at 1.00pm to be followed by interment at the Aramoho Lawn Cemetery.

Our memories of Tom go way back to the 50s when Tom Tasker was our coal man in the railway settlement . My older sisters were closer to his age group , the hall girls the late Leonie Preater the late Clare Wicks and Dawn Cheesman and myself Pauline . I still have the lovely mirror that Tom did for my Mum and Dad with the dutch girl on it. Very fond memories deepest sympathy to all Toms friends and Family xxx RIP Tom

Hi Kathy, and family I was so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. People throw out the word legend for the wrong reasons, however, Tom was and will always be a mans man. He did more for Marton than any person I know and i am sorry I did not learn of his passing until today. My thoughts are with you all in this most sad time.
