We first met Tom at the Nationals 12 years ago. Turns out we're cussies many times removed. Would see and play against him and the Massey Ave boys at the Taranaki Open virtually every year since. Will miss him playing at Westend BC in his treasured red shirts. RIP. Garry and Lindsay Murfitt.

Pat and Family our love and thoughts are with you at this very sad time. Tom was a true lover of the bowls game given the number of achievements he has to his name both with the Woburn and Massey Avenue Clubs over the years. He will be missed by many not only as a bowler, umpire and friend.

So sorry to read of Tom´s passing. Tom was an awesome man, great fun when socialising and just being Tom. I spent a few years with Tom when he was serving at RNZAF Base Ohakea. Myself at the Motor Transport Workshops. Tom was usually found at the refueling section, very busy at times refuelling various aircraft, playing cards or tinkering with his fast mini car that was most probably running on high octane aircraft fuel. Green river as we called it, the fuel was coloured Green. Now and then one of us mechanics was called over to assist Tom with his desire to go faster.
Rest In Peace Tom. You were a great man.
Condolences to your close family and Friends
