Theodore KIPA Obituary

'Kua hinga te tootara o Te Wao nui aa Taane It is with great sadness our whaanau share the passing of Theodore Kipa 'Koko,' aged 97, who passed peacefully at Ranfurly Manor, Feilding, in the presence of his loving whaanau. Loved husband of the late Jean. Much loved father of Karen, Michael, Susan, and Erina; and the late Ashley, Leah and Paul. Theo leaves a legacy of mokopuna; grand, great, great-great-grandchildren. Theo will be at Aorangi Marae, 10 Waughs Road, Feilding. His final service will be held on Friday 24 October 2025 at 11.00am, followed by cremation at Kelvin Grove Crematorium. All are welcome to come celebrate and farewell his life. Arohanui, Te Whaanau Kipa.

My son met Theo a few times while we visited my mum and aunt, both in residence at Ranfurly. Theo gave my son some rugby advice and I have a lovely photo of him and my son. Lovely man.

E te whanau o Theo Kipa, sending you much aroha at this time. I have only just found out about his passing. I spoke to him frequently over the past 2.5 years since my parents moved to Ranfurly Manor. He had a great smile, a wonderful sense of humour and always called me 'Young Lady' Moe mai ra Theo.

What a wonderful innings Theo. Condolences to all of the families. I worked with Theo as a meat inspector at Feilding from 1971 to 1983. Great memories of that era. Sincere gratitude for that time.
