Terence O'BRIEN Obituary

To Denise and Family, shocked and saddened to read of Terry´s passing, we have had some great catch ups in recent times at the Freyberg pool while watching our respective grandchildren.
As a colleague of Terrys at Freyberg from the 1970´s through many decades, Terry and I worked closely together. Wishing I had known in time to attend Terry´s Mass and pay my heartfelt respect to him.

Mr Terry O'brien, im ur former student of Freyberg High School nine years ago and u were my teacher and mentor and principal at that time. Im from Singapore and you were the one who welcomed me into the deaf unit as a family when i first enrolled into FHS. U were a great and amazing teacher, you have taught me so much. Im greatly saddened by this sudden news. Although we have not been in touch all the while, I will always remember and cherish ur teaching. May God be with you in Heaven.

O'Brien Family, it is with sadness to learn of Terry's passing. Terry was a great guy. His support of Golden Oldie Rugby for the Evergreens over the years was great. He was a great Teacher and Mentor, a lovely all-round guy to be with. Terry will be sadly missed by his Family and those who knew him. Much Aroha.

I worked with Terry in the deaf unit at Freyberg. A lovely gentle caring man to both the children and his staff.
