Sydney Crabtree/Blackmon Obituary

Sydney Cheyenne Blackmon Crabtree, 30, passed away on August 3, 2025. She was born to Shannon McDaniel and Shadrick Blackmon on June 6, 1995 in East Ridge, Tennessee.

Sydney was a natural worshipper and loved Jesus, and she found great joy in praising Him. She had a gift for making others feel seen and valued, loving without condition, and being a true friend to everyone she met. She was also deeply passionate about music through her beautiful voice, heartfelt songwriting, and guitar playing. These musical passions were a source of joy to those around her. Whether she was singing, or creating something new, music was her true language. She also found happiness in the kitchen, where she loved to cook for others- often turning meals into memorable moments. Her playful spirit, and love of being silly brought laughter and light wherever she went, leaving behind cherished memories filled with warmth, creativity, and joy.

Sydney is preceded in death by her grandmother, Gala Faye Hall Coile.

She is survived by her husband, Vaughn Crabtree, children, Jude Lilley, Gabriel Leonard, Vincent Settles, mother, Shannon McDaniel, father, Shadrick (Alma) Blackmon, siblings, Schuler (Tysha) Blackmon, Bailey (Colten) Westfelt, Austin Blackmon, Aiden Blackmon, Bella Blackmon, Casey McDaniel, nieces, Sophia Blackmon, Elena Westfelt, Alyna Blackmon, nephews, Asher Blackmon, Tyson Blackmon, and her grandparents, James and Dee Blackmon, and Mack Coile.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
