Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for Stephen A. Stockinger, age 70, who passed away Oct. 2, 2025, at The Good Shepherd Community in Sauk Rapids. The Rev. Thomas Knoblach will officiate and entombment will be at Hilltop Mausoleum. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the church in Sauk Rapids.
Stephen was born Dec. 13, 1954, in St. Cloud to Alfred and Elaine (Korf) Stockinger. He lived in the St. Cloud area most of his life. Stephen married Deborah Snyder May 20, 1977, in Coon Rapids. He worked as a custodian for District 11 Schools and Coast to Coast Hardware. He was a member and volunteer at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Stephen enjoyed bowling, camping, race car tracks, driving his scooter around Lake George and watching the Vikings. He loved spending time with his family.
Stephen is survived by his children, Bette Jo Gordon of Elk River and Christine Stockinger of Monticello; grandchildren, Marcus, Jaycee, Miles and Matthew; one great-grandchild; sisters, Joyce Letner of Gilman, Sherry (Nick) Baynes of St. Cloud and Vonnie (John) Hanson of Parkers Prairie.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Deborah.
