I am so sorry I missed Shirley's funeral. We became friends over the Scrabble board and she was a wicked player who loved word plays. Very smart and lovely lady whose bright personality has already been missed at our monthly games.

Have fond memories of Shirley and Ron who supported our Beere family when we were at Knox church and friends ever since. A wonderful lady who was kind, talented and loved to catchup. RIP Shirley

Shirley and Ron were good friends with my Mum and Dad, Jim and Rhyll Ryburn, and she was organist at my wedding! I have many memories of her kindness and hospitality, her caring nature, and her beautiful garden. Also of times spent singing alto with her in the Palmerston North Choral society. Very sorry we cannot be there on Friday but will be thinking of you all.

I will always remember Shirley as the kindest person I ever knew. She and Ron were long time friends of my parents Dirk and Mary McGregor. And later on Shirley and Cliff were regular visitors to my parents when Mum and Dad became residents at Ranfurly. Shirley taught me the piano about 60 years ago and I always enjoyed chatting to her whenever I saw her when I was back on a visit to Feilding. Her family must have such wonderful memories. Arohanui.

I remember Shirley's hospitality and kindness from when I was working at Sanson School when Ron was Principal. We enjoyed staff gatherings at the McCulloch house on various occasions, and Shirley was always such a wonderful hostess. My sympathy is with the family as you all farewell her.
