It´s been far too long poppa. I miss you so much and I´ve been sat here crying in deep pain remembering all the beautiful times we shared but broken that I never got the chance to know you beyond my childhood and teen years. I love you so so much and I hope wherever you are, you are also here

It was with great sadness I heard from my good friend and colleague Phil Ryder of the death of Russell .

If ever there was anybody that was unfazed by problems and dramas that presented themselves, often daily, it was Russell . His tenacity was just what was required in the bush .

Best Wishes from the Team at Autokraft Electrical and Diesel .

Russell liked his equipment running right
and took pride in his operation , We see this trait handed down to Jacob in the Foxpine fleet, where Jacobs own specialist touch is added . I know how secretly proud he was of Jacob and Jeannette and their achievements .

What a great Legacy form a most humble man . God Bless you Russell and the Family .

I am writing this with such sadness that I will not be able to share with all the family & friends tomorrow. I have been sick for a couple of weeks and that is not something I want to share.

Having been a close part of this family and extended family for so long, many moons ago, and still keeping contact when I can, I thought they were the strongest, most amazing family I knew.

Russell's Mother, Nan was, and still is, incredible, and how she led everyone through those dark times 31 years ago was inspirational. Nan, Russ, Bim, Wox, Chris (and Lorraine)and all the rest of the family, soldiered on in their own special way. I was so honored to be part of all their lives for many years.

There is not a day goes by that I dont think about Jeanne, Hillari and Alice, along with Noel & Lizy. They were very special in my life and my children's.

Now there is yet another one of this magnificant family, lost. A special man who was a friend to us all that knew him.

Way to go Russ. Will miss your big smiley face and the ruffle of my hair with a "Hey Curley". Rock on Brother.

Keitha Sharpe,
nee Laursen / Philpott

It's with great sadness I received the news of Russell's death whilst doing what he loved .
I always admired him for his tenacity in the most difficult of tasks . When the crap hit the fan Russell marched on not deterred by head winds , dodgy weather or equipment failure .
May Gods blessings be with you all as a family and the gift that Russell was be with you long into the future and the legacy of Foxpine Timber be cemented firmly in to the future as plans were laid earlier.
