Rowan TODD Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce that our son Rowan has passed away. Rowan was a kind and gentle soul and a friend to everyone he knew. He touched the lives of many and was beloved by all that knew him. For years Rowan was tormented with the pain of depression and succumbed to his illness, on Thursday 17 June 2021, aged 22. Most of all, he was a loved son of Malcolm and Alison, and brother of Joe. His family will cherish those memories of a sensitive, kind, caring, intelligent, & witty man who could be harder on himself than on anyone else. His health challenges robbed him of opportunities so many of us take as given. But he never allowed them to alter the essence of who he was. For his entire life, Rowan remained incredibly warm, generous, gentle, open hearted, exceedingly bright, clever, funny and engaging. Rowan was a truly unique individual, as anyone who ever met him will freely admit. A service for Rowan will be held at Camp Rangi Woods, 92 Churchill Road, Pohangina, on Monday 28 June 2021. Friends are welcome from 12.30pm with the Memorial to commence at 2.00pm. A private family cremation will follow. Messages can be sent to the Todd family c/- PO Box 1014, Palmerston North.
