Our heartfelt condolences to you Pam, Debbie and Leonie. Ron was indeed genuine and loyal. So very proud of his daughters. I vividly remember how kind he was to his farm animals, the quiet chuckles at times and his fondness for ice cream, comforting memories. A husband and father's love will never fade. From Jillian and Mike with our love and very best wishes.

Absolutely gutted. Have many memories of Uncle, especially when I was a child, which make me smile. Being his 'little squirt' in the shed and spraying the cow's udders as they left the milking shed. Walking along the race to usher the cows back into the paddock. Teaching me to drive the ute, though I hit the gate on the way out of the paddock! I remember Uncle's outdoor weathered face always had a jovial and welcoming smile and his warm calloused hands were of a man who took pride in his work and loved his animals; and his family. I have been on many farms since and have not seen a tidier and more organised farm than the one I recall from my childhood visits to Eketahuna. He adored his dogs and cared for his cows, always naming the calves so the first letter of their name matched the first letter of the mother's name. As a young girl growing up in a town, visiting with Aunt and Uncle for the holidays meant learning about a small window of farm life in a place that was well loved. Rest well Uncle. You've worked hard all your life and deserve peace now.
Huge loves to Aunt, Leonie & Debbie.
