Roland BARNETT Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Roland, a cherished soul who left us peacefully on Monday, 25 August 2025. Roland was the son of the late Harold and Edna, the devoted husband of Gayle, and a proud, loving father to Natasha, Nathan, Tara, Presley, and Justin. He was a beloved brother to Harold, Lynette, and Walter, a loving son-in-law to Rosa, and a treasured Pop to his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. He was a loyal friend to many, remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the lasting connections he built throughout his life. Many thanks to Lynette, Angela, and Stuart for their loving care and support during Roland's final moments. The family is grateful for the support shown by Roland's workplace, Alf Downs, during his illness.

A service to celebrate Roland's life will be held in the Cotton's Chapel, 697 Main Street, Palmerston North, on Saturday, 30 August 2025, at 9.30am, followed by interment at Kelvin Grove Cemetery, James Line, Palmerston North.
