It was sad to hear Robin shed his mortal coil last month. I was a third-former at College House/PNBHS in 1973, starting when he was brand new to the hostel and the school. I kind of grew up with him in my five years there and got to know him very well. He was a supportive house master and a lot of fun to be around. A real bugger he never got to spend more quality time in retirement, he certainly deserved more. It would've been good to have one last beer with him (of course I'd be paying). Vale Robin. R.I.P

I played rugby with Robin in the 70's. He was Digger Doyle to us his team mates. A bean stalk. Thinly buildt our Digger. There wasn't much of him so he played the game cleverlerly and used his extreme pace to keep himself away from been hurt by the big boys. Sad to hear you have left us. R,I.P.

Digger & my late partner, Les Rossiter were great mates. Sharing lots of opinions on Rugby in particular.
Digger always popped in on Friday & Saturdays, and also a Sunday evening for a cuppa & cake. Rest well
Digger.....you're work is done!

Have memories of Robyn and his family in his younger days; His parents and mine visited a lot- our Dad's were friends, possibly from war? Robyn was a few months older than me, have photo's, his parents had a great garden- flowers and veges-our family lived in Southbridge and Lakeside--From Isobel Middleton (eldest daughter of Elsie and David Young-sisters Janice and Lynley)
