He tino pouri toku ngakau. Sending all our thoughts and best wishes to Rob's whanau. He was such a lovely man and I enjoyed the chats and beers we shared when we lived in Ashhurst and he would come to the Commercial Tavern. Even after the death of my father he would ring to have little chats. My dad Rua (who was the publican) Sol (my grandfather and thought he was the publican) Gerald and Rob - Nga tangata rongonui. Always good for a "dash good" joke and a yarn. A generous neighbour and never heard Rob say an unkind word.
