Robert Dunsmoor Obituary

Robert "Bob" Dunsmoor, born on April 22, 1930, in Salem, Oregon, longtime resident of Easton, Maryland, passed peacefully from this life on April 15, 2025. He was kneeling at the side of his bed in prayer at the time of his passing. Bob's passion was sharing the Gospel, with a simple conversation and usually a cup of coffee and something sweet to eat. Bob was a beloved follower of and disciple maker of the Lord Jesus Christ. He inspired many through his mentorship and the establishment of several Mayor's Prayer Breakfasts and Business Men's Prayer Lunches throughout the Eastern Shore area, including Easton, St Michael's, Caroline County, and Ocean City. Bob Dunsmoor also served as a Chaplain to the Maryland State Legislature for more than 25 years.

In 1982, Bob and his beloved wife, Liz, accepted positions at Cedar Point Farm in Talbot County, Maryland. What they thought was a one year adventure became 38 1/2 years of ministry in Maryland. As founding members of Talbot Bible Church, both Bob and Liz served as part of the TBC family throughout their years here in Maryland.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 1/2 years, Edeltraud Elisabeth Lucie "Liz" Dunsmoor, nee Koenig on April 2, 2024. Bob is survived by their three children and their spouses, Sylvia Groce, husband Gary, John Dunsmoor, and wife Anita, and Linda Stout, and husband, Larry, as well as seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on May 30, 2025 at 11am at Talbot Bible Church. Please join us at Talbot Bible Church, 9114 Chapel Road, Easton, Maryland.

Where there was coffee Bob had a cup in his hand. I asked him do you use coffee to talk to people about Jesus. In his usual good humor response was yes. I found a sign that said A little bit of coffee and a whole lot of Jesus. I shared that with him. That was Bob he knew how to make people feel at ease around him and before you knew it he was talking about Jesus. I am so thankful that I knew him.
