Richard McASLAN Obituary

NZ Forest Service Woodsman 1961 intake. Passed away peacefully at Palmerston North Hospital Star 2 Ward on Friday, January 12, 2024, aged 79 years. Dearly loved husband of Lois for 57 years. Much loved father and father in law of Hugh and Melanie, Scott and Cassandra, and Sarah and Ray. Treasured Grandad too Isabel and Alex McAslan, Lily, Duncan, and Fraser McAslan, and Pippa, Oscar and Alfie Fitzmaurice. Son of Alexi and Vernon McAslan (dec), and son-in-law of Duncan and Helen Matheson (dec). Brother-in-law to Malcom Matheson (dec,) Barbara and Ian Pettigrew and family, and Alan and Joy Matheson and family. Loved brother of David (dec) and Mavis McAslan and family, and Gerald (dec) and Louisa McAslan and family. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Opal and Star 2 Wards, for your kind and compassionate support and care. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Richard's life at the Beauchamp Crematorium Chapel at 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North, on Wednesday 17th January 2024 at 11.00am.
