Reginald BRIGGS Obituary

1935 - 2025
Aged 90. Born in Handcross, England, Reg passed away peacefully at home in Palmerston North, surrounded by family, on Good Friday, 18th April. Deeply loved husband of the late Sally, Father & Father-in-Law to Steve & Maree, Father of Rob, and Poppa to Thomas & Emily. Reg was a devoted family man who cherished time with his loved ones. He carried himself with humility and kindness and will be remembered as a true English gentleman. Thoughtful, dignified and generous with his wealth of knowledge, he was a pleasure to be around. He inspired those around him with his wisdom, curiosity and gentle nature. He was exceptional at crosswords and loved a cup of tea, two sugars! Now reunited with his beloved Sally, with whom he spent over 60 beautiful years, he will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Reg has been farewelled in a private ceremony with immediate family. The family wish to extend their sincerest thanks to all those who cared for Dad: Lavender Blue, Arohanui Hospice, District Nurses, St. John's Ambulance and William Cotton & Sons.
