Peter Maxwell SANDERS

Peter SANDERS Obituary

March 7, 1926 - October 9, 2023, in his 98th year. Husband of Ruth Martindale (Deceased 2020). Loved Father of Jan (Patumahoe), Gillian (Pukekohe) and Richard (Deceased 2017). Member of the most excellent Order of the British Empire: OBE, MBE (Mil). Sometime Lt Cdr NZ Cadet Forces, Canons Verger Wellington Cathedral Church of St Paul. Late of Wellington. Matamata, Levin and Pukekohe. In lieu of flowers a donation to either 9 Lives Orphanage and/or Franklin Cat Rescue is welcomed. A service to remember Peter will be held at Waters Funerals, Pukekohe, 81 Franklin Road, on Monday 16th October 2023, at 10.30am.

Sincere condolences to the family, and thoughts of happy memories from me and others at Wellington Cathedral of St Paul who knew Peter and Ruth. I recall with much gratitude his generous contribution to the life of the Cathedral over many years.
