Peter MEYER Obituary

I worked with Pete some years ago. I was lucky enough to get to know him and share dreams of the future. I admired his spirit and enjoyed working with him around the farms when we were engaged in viticulture and flower growing. He was incredibly inventive and inspired me. If I suggested we needed something he could make the very thing to fit the bill. I wish I had a fraction of his skill. More importantly, I got to know him and he lifted my spirits.

It saddened me to have heard of his passing well after his service. I would love to have shared my feelings and experiences with those that cared for him.

So sorry to hear of Peter's passing, through the Bee Club, he was such a kind and friendly guy, always willing to lend a hand to us new beekeepers and Gerard and I really enjoyed his company over a cup of tea and stories of his Camino walk and many and varied life experiences. Will always remember sitting around the table at Longburn with a wine or a cuppa chatting with my mate Angela's family, including Peter. He was always lively company, always engaged with life, a smile at the ready. RIP. Gabe McDonnell

I've worked countless hours of nightshift with Pete out at longburn and never been bored.
