Passed away on 23 May 2025 at Arohanui Hospice, in his 99th year. Dearly loved husband for 62 years of Gwen (deceased). Loved father and father-in-law of Diane & Percy Campbell, Sandra & Murray Leonard-Jones, Linda & David Muir, Vicki & Ross Hadwin. Much loved Grandad of Greg, Maeli, Andrea, Mark, Justine, Judson, Evan, Phillipa and Nick. Great-Grandad of Grace, Isla, Yuzuki, Kaito, Maddy, Nico, Brax, Ella, Sonoha, Ollie and Bonnie. Special thanks to Gareth and St John's Ambulance Service, and the staff at Arohanui Hospice. A private family service has been held. Messages to the Hawke family, PO Box 1242, Palmerston North.

Our condolences. Peter was a dearly loved member of the Thursday morning tenpin bowling group for a very long time. We have many fond memories of Peter and have enjoyed fun and fellowship, as well as competitive bowling with him. We miss you Peter. R.I.P. Your tenpin bowling mates.
