Peter DARROCH Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Arohanui Hospice, on Sunday 5 October 2025, aged 72. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Joy, proud and loving father of Ben and Hannah. A private family service has been held. Grateful thanks to the staff at Arohanui Hospice for their dedicated care of Peter. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice would be much appreciated.

Peter, or 'tom' as I knew him was an absolute gentleman who always gave everything and delivered above and beyond. It was a privilege to call him a mate. My deepest condolences to Joy, Ben and Hannah, he was so proud of you all. RIP mate.

I worked with Peter at Mainfreight for 19 years , a real hard worker and we had a lot of laughs during that time ,will certainly miss you mate .

For some reason I mainly knew Peter as Tom. Boys High old boys. I really enjoyed our impromptu chats Tom, running into you was always a meeting of friends. Shocked to hear this news, you will be very sadly missed.
