Had the privelage of being taught by Noel at Kakariki School in 1950s. Once in a life time you meet a person who influences you greatly. Noel was that person for me. When the Horgan familly left Kakariki in early 1960s my parents held a farewell lunch at our place. Photos from that day are still in our keep. Once taught never forgotten. Condolences to Karen, Susan Christina.

So sad for the family, Uncle Noel was a kind gentle man ....... much like my father his older brother Raymond (Ray) . I have very fond memories of Uncle Noel and Aunty Fairlie coming to our place not long after they were married..... Aunty Fairlie had a lovely flower pattern dress on and really high heels. A lovely memory to have. May God Bless them both and all the family.

It is the end of an era for Noel's Standard 2 class of 1951 at Russell Street School in Palmerston North. The class stayed in touch with Noel after our reunion he attended in 2007. Noel told us he felt one of our class and we certainly felt he belonged with lots of the class having happy memories of Noel as a young charismatic teacher. It was a delight to stay in touch and have him show us some of the history of Geraldine when a number of us were passing through. We know, too, he enjoyed the occasional video of Russell Streeters' subsequent holiday trips together. I particularly enjoyed chatting and I know others kept in touch, too. He was a treasure. Some of our class will be quite choked up at news of his passing.

Dear Horgan family- I read the notice of Noel's
passing. I am pretty sure he was the Mr.Horgan
who taught me at Bulls school, way back when.
He was so great to us all and especially encouraging in the sports field. I also played tennis and badminton ?him. I would see the
family at Mass at St.Marys Bulls, He was one of
the many 'great' teachers we had. May you all
have wonderful memories - I am sure you will'

Dear Noel
I will miss the great times we shared over a cup pf tea at our place and your place. The many times we shared our help to each other of our genealogy and computer problems. You are now re-united with your dearly loved Fairlie. Rest in peace Noel and you and your family will be in our thoughts and memories.
