Sorry to hear the passing of Murray.
We spent a lot of time together in the 60s and 70s helping with his sound system and traveling around.
I bought his old 1948 canary yellow ford 10 from him once he had worn it out
A good mate, condolences to his family

Our sincere condolences to Murray's extended family. He will forever be remembered for his jovial personality and hijinks. He gave so much of his time and energy to his local community for many years through his business. It was always a pleasure to see the Faulding name on speakers and the white caravan at an out of town event many miles from Feilding, it was proof that Murray's expertise was well respected even further from home. At 16 years of age Murray was starting his electrical apprenticeship and went to live as a boarder in my parents, the late Max and Sylvia Hodgson's home when they lived in one of two 'flats' next to the old Fire Station on Bowen Street. The site is now occupied by the library. Dad was a volunteer fireman for the Feilding Brigade and Murray joined too while living with them. There will be many happy memories of association with Murray for many people, but especially for his family. Treasure the memories! May Murray be resting in peace now, he lived a full life.

Murray was an ideas man and was excellent in event management. Fauldings Sound was such an important part of so many big events around the region. Faulding Electrical has been part of the Feilding Business community for many decades and Murray was a supporter of Feilding Promotion. He had some great stories.

To Murray's family,
We knew Murray through the Manawatu West Coast A & P Association. He had a very long association with the show, and was a member of our committee in early years before our time, then rejoined the committee in 2006. He remained on the committee until his retirement, so worked with us for approximately 10 years.
He was always 'straight up', but was deeply to committed to our organization, and helped us in so many ways including providing sound for our shows and big events.
We are sorry to hear that he has passed away - our sympathy and sincere condolences to all of the family.
Please record our apologies for his funeral on Thursday, as we have an important appointment in Wellington that day. We will be thinking of you all.
Kindest regards,
Trevor and Maxine

Murray was a true character, with real life stories to be told. An unforgettable laugh and smile with a friendly disposition , Murray lived his life with vigor and devilment, with the bus stories the highlight.
