Merlin SHANNON Obituary
Passed away peacefully in Feilding with family by his side on Friday, October 30, 2020, in his 90th year. Much loved husband of Noeline. Much loved father and father-in-law of Dale, Debs and Barry, Peter and Mary-Anne, Ann, and Greg and Rachel. Cherished Grandpa of Laura and Brett, Ryan, Ben, and Olivia. Friends are invited to attend a service for Merlin at the Feilding Funeral Chapel, 282 Kimbolton Road, Feilding, on Wednesday, 4 November 2020 at 2pm. Followed by a private cremation.

I have been thinking of you a lot recently, cousin Merlin, (my Dad was also Merlin) and sad to learn of your passing. Loved your Mum & Dad, and proud of you as hooker in PNBHS 1VX, your contribution to Rugby in Oroua, Manawatu and then NZ board. We will meet again under the posts, the winning ones. Condolences to all- he had a wonderful life to celebrate- I have great memories with him baling while we stacked bales on the back of Neville's truck at Cheltenham and him driving that great cream Chevy he had- also at the bar, with his dry humour and a great pool party at Tapuae with all the locals and their stories!
