Merlene WRIGHT Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Palmerston North Hospital on Tuesday 10 February 2026, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle. Aged 69 years. Loving and cherished wife of Dennis (Kiwi) for 53 years. Devoted mum and mother-in-law of Robbie and Nicky, Andy and Karen, Craig and Mary-Anne, and Jamie. Loving Nana to Cameron, Chloe, Oliver, Caleb, Jared, Paige, Sam, and Abbey. Great-grandmother to Otto. Adored sister of David. Special thanks to the staff at ICU for their loving care of Merlene. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Merlene at the Beauchamp Crematorium Chapel, 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North, on Tuesday 17 February 2026 at 2.00pm.

Condolences to Kiwi and family.
We were sad to hear of Merlene´s passing. I enjoyed our chats at morrie meet ups. She always had a friendly smile and showed me such kindness. She will be missed.
