VAUGHAN, Merle
(nee Nichols):
On May 23, 2017, at Palmerston North Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Murray, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Anna and Tom O'Keeffe, Pene and the late John Cannon, and Jeffrey and Chris, loving Gran of Timothy, Laura and Aaron, Rachel and Gene, and great-grandmother of Patrick. A service to celebrate Merle's life will be held at William Cotton & Sons Funeral Chapel, 29 Beattie Street, Feilding, on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Feilding Order of St John, PO Box 355, Feilding 4740, would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

Much love to Merle's family at this sad time. Merle was a wonderful woman with a strong faith. She wrote great poems and was a great friend to many. She loved my children and I loved collaborating with her on the children's musical we wrote together.
My son remembers the day he was so happy when he realized her was talker than Merle. He was at last taller than an adult!
She loved God, her family and made such a difference to all she met. Rest In Peace Merle. You will be remembered by so many.
