Melva JONES Obituary

Former teacher at Riverdale and Takaro. Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, January 21 2026, aged 76 years, after a five year journey with cancer. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Phyllis (deceased) & Ian Horsbrugh, and Trevor & Mary Jones. Treasured aunty of Lynne, Cheryl, Alice & Emily and great-aunty of Jared & Rebecca. Sincere thanks from family to her many friends and all Metlife Care Staff for their friendship and caring. A service for Melva will be held at Beauchamp Crematorium Chapel, 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North, on Monday, 26 January 2026, at 2:00pm, followed by a private cremation.
