Since arriving in Marton in July 1957 my Dad [ John and Mum, Iris] joined this Lutheran church and were welcomed from day one into this church family. One couple, Bill and Bill and Margaret were the first family to invite us, a family of 5 to a Sunday meal at their farm house for a roast meal, it was rather a squash around their dining table with at least 10 people seated! I remember it well, their hospitality was humbling. The Maas friendship remains to this day. Bill and MARGARET were really good to me as a twelve year old too, with Lyndsay's ever improving go -cart and Velocette motor cycle being worked on in Bill's big workshop, and then there was Margaret's afternoon teas! What a blessing they were then and I'm still blest now through their children ! Thank you God for blessing MARGARET and Bill with a strong faith that they shared willingly, all praise to YOU, Heavenly Father. Thank you. Richard Hobden.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Margaret's family. Margaret has been blessed by God and shared those blessings with all who knew her.
A lady of grace and compassion, now at rest with her Lord and beloved husband. You are all honored to be descended from such a fine couple, whose example of faith is an inspiration to live by.
