Madeleine WILLETTS Obituary

Peacefully at home (Timaru) on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024. Dearly loved wife of the late Bert, treasured mother of Mark (dec), Deborah, and Kelvyn. Loved and cherished Nana of Bradley and Fagan, Leah and Rawiri, Kade, Cassidy and great-nana of Flynn, Scarlett, Billie, Tamaki, and Nikau. A Requiem Mass for Madeleine will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Basilica, Craigie Avenue, Timaru on Saturday, October 12, at 11.00am, thereafter interment at the Timaru Cemetery. A Rosary will be held on Friday, October 11, at 5.30pm at the Basilica. Messages c/o 2A Buchanan Street, Timaru 7910.

Dearest Deborah, Kelvyn & family we are very sorry for your loss. Mad was smart, witty, caring and welcoming - welcomed us, total strangers, into her home with Bert, and this remains one of the most wonderful weeks of our lives. Mad’s laugh will live on, the wonder of her family their lasting legacy. We will be thinking of you all from this side of the planet. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, especially today.
