To my dear friend Lenny, I have known you since the first day I moved to Ashhurst and you were living in your house truck out the back of Astro Autos.
You had a plan in life and that was to build your house up in Pohangina Valley you succeeded with that and you were in your happy place. So many fond memories. One was a gathering of friends including your sister Jan, you had out back of Astro on the eve of the millennium around the camp fire, we were all waiting to see what was going to happen at midnight, was the world going to end! haha. We had a few laughs when the clock ticked over.
You were the kindest person I have ever known, and you would have given the shirt off your back to help someone else out in need. You knew all the locals and you would always give a wave as you drove past or stop for a chat.
The lemon tree you brought me when I turned 50 has finally started to produced lemons its taken quite a few years. I call it the Lenny Tree.
You are now with your brother Bill and your mum Dot, also my mum will look out for you - she always thought a lot of you.
You will be sadly missed by so many. Always in our thoughts.
