Thank you all our very dear friends and family for your heartfelt condolences. Life will never be the same that Kris/Chandra has gone but that's the challenge we face when we live.
As for Kris/Chandran he faced his challenges with failing health, pain and agony with so much courage, fortitude and grace that they never robbed him of his great qualities of compassion, consideration and love. As much as he was ready for death to come to him, he never stopped living and being his true self.
We thank each of you for your lovely and warm messages. Ganga

Gabriel Elbaz.

Been listening all week to "Lead Kindly Light" a hymn I will always associate with Chandra Chithappa. Reminiscing about cricket with chithappa, leg-pulling with chithappa, card games with chithappa - never a dull moment and hours and hours of joy with chithappa....
You are always in my thoughts.

Namaste Ganga Mami,

Simply and deeply saddened to know from Appaji that Chandra Mama passed away.

For me he will always be the Udaipur Mama who unknowingly' taught me (then a boy of ~10 years) to enjoy and cherish the simple joys of Life plus the importance of humility and a sense of humour!

We join you and all his many friends and relatives in prayer.

Dear Ganga, Uday and all in the family,
Words are inadequate to express one's feelings and memories on dear Chandra.
He has been so loving, lovable and loved by all, that he shall ever be missed, though etched in our heart.

My earliest memory goes to 1954, when Chandra, the cricketer, took me around Science College in Nagpur.Thereafter, we had a roaring time of adventure in Pachmarhi.Later in Udaipur and of course in Opotiki...

Alas, he is no more with us, but yet much within us,...

May His soul rest in eternal peace.
May You All be bestowed with the strength to help sustain this
irreparable loss....Amen !

Dear Chandran Athimbiar and Chithappa

Right from the time I met you I have always wondered how a person can be so simple. You were always neatly dressed and looked fresh, very meticulous in whatever you do. I remember you made Gulabjamun in Chennai during your visit which was perfect as any of your actions.
Your love for the traditional Test match cricket and other major sports were awesome.

Chandran Chithappa, We love you and will miss you. You have always guided me in times of need. You were always neatly dressed and combed and would be well before time at any place including for a visit to barber shop. You have been so systematic which I have always admired.Naughty smile and a man of few words.

We have very fond memories of our dear Chandran Chithappa. Well dressed, on-time and always positive, how he taught us to be simple and without pretence. We might have met each other in person only a couple of times, but he always spoke with warmth and even with a few words he could make us smile. We will think about him every time there is a cricket match between Australia and NZ. We will remember him while watching tennis. We will remember him often. Ganga Chithi and Udai will miss him dearly as will his grandchildren and Marie. I only hope you all give strength to each other.
