God places us in families.
Kath and Allen became family to us when we met them at a small Baptist Church in Palmerston North. The bible says you will know His followers by the love that show (extend to others) and live their lives by. This could not be truer of Kath and Allan.
Kathy's life was like an open book. That book was the bible and her relationship with Jesus. After we moved from Palmerston North she would have Dale (her daughter) drop her off to come and visit with us. When she moved to Tauranga we visited her there and shared a beautiful lunch at a garden centre and even Holy Communion with her at our daughter's home.
Her amazing sense of humour and zest for life was infectious.
Never did you feel unwelcome or uncomfortable in her presence. She shared her wisdom, encouragement and advise with the greatest sensitivity, honesty and love.
A truer and more sincere friend you could not ask for.
She truly was one in a million.

Our deepest sympathy to the family. She and Allen will always hold a place of honour and respect in our hearts. Safe in the arms of our Saviour. Rest in peace till we meet again.

My parents (Elma and Noel Thompson) were great friends with Kath and Alan. Kath used to use maiden hair that mum grew for her cake decorating. I consider them friends too. Helen Tripp (nee Thompson)

Unable to be there tomorrow, but our thoughts are with you. Remembering lots of fun times with both your parents. Kath's practical joke cakes certainly stand out! A woman who showed God's love in a practical way.

We have fond memories of Kath's time in Palmerston North. So sad that a good neighbour has passed.
