On September 29, 2017, Josephine (Jo) Yurko passed away.
Jo is survived by her sisters-in-law, Rose Graschak of Vegreville and Mary Jane Graschuk of Edmonton; nieces, Judy Graschuk (Harry Midgley), Gladys Yurechuk, Brenda Bryan, Connie (Neil) Sutherland, Toni (John) Warawa, and Sharon Maurice; nephew, Gordon (Jenine) Graschuk; as well as many numerous grand-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Nick Yurko; parents, Stanley and Pearl Greschuk; brothers, Mike Graschak and Harry Graschuk; sisters, Nell (Nick) Muller, Kay (Dick) Strynadka, Eva (Steve) Skorobohach, Lillian Greschuk, and two siblings in infancy; nephews, Morris Skorobohach and James Muller; and niece, Merci Shyba.
Funeral Service Saturday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Celebrant Yvonne Racine officiating with interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT & Nunavut, Suite 144, 5241 Calgary Trail NW, Edmonton, AB T6H 5G8 or to the Edmonton Humane Society, 13620 – 163 Street, Edmonton, AB T5V 0B2

I have never met Aunt Jo but have heard my good friend Mary-Jane speak of her lovingly so often. She sounds like quite the gal. I send my love and condolences to the family. I know that Aunt Jo will be very much missed, but remembered with love.
